Dentist in La Mesa

Wisdom Teeth

The wisdom teeth can be a total pain. When I was 15 years old I learned of a study done with a dentist in La Mesa. They wanted to see how patients reacted to a new pill and how others reacted to a placebo. I went to the dentist and asked if I qualified for the study. It just so happened that I did and they paid me 200 dollars for doing it.

The day of the surgery I went in and they put me to sleep. All I remember was waking up and touching my chin and lips. They felt like rubber and I had no idea what they were. I asked my mother what they were, and she laughed and told me. I then fell back to sleep. When I woke up I felt an excruciating pain in my mouth. I asked for a pill. They gave me one and it had no effect.  Yes, I received the placebo. The pain was so bad I had to ask for different pill. They took me off the study and gave me a better pill.

As I left the office of the dentist in La Mesa I remember thinking ‘’man I’m glad that’s over.’’ Little did I know that my cheeks were going to swell up like a bowling ball and all the kids in the junior high school would make fun of me for it. I’m glad I never have to live that experience again.

Dentist in Reno

Wisdom Teeth

The wisdom teeth can be a real pain, literally. A dentist in Reno says that many people suffer before they have their wisdom teeth removed. Signs like pressure in the jaw line, ears and even eyes are many times indications that it’s high time you get those wisdom teeth removed. If left in the mouth, these pains will only worsen and bother the person even more. Everyone has wisdom teeth and almost everyone needs to have them removed at some point in time in their lives.

The wisdom teeth are located in the back of the mouth behind all the other teeth. There are precisely four of them, and most the time it’s necessary that two or more need to be removed. The wisdom teeth cause pain in the jaw line because they grow in at an angle. This causes the teeth to push and squish together causing the feelings of pressure in the jaw, ears and eyes. If not removed they can push teeth out and cause a need for braces. The operation is very simple and only lasts about 5 min per tooth.  Once removed all bothersome pain and etc will go away.

The dentist in Reno says if you have felt or are feeling any of the signs above, it might be a good idea to ask your dentist if it’s time to get your wisdom teeth removed. Once pulled out, these symptoms will leave you alone and then you will only have two weeks (about) until you heal from the operation.http://dentistinrenonv.com

Unhealthy Foods for the Teeth

We all love food. Nobody is exempt from the need to eat and give nutrients to our bodies. However some foods are better for our bodies than other. A dentist in Richmond says that just as the foods we eat affect our overall health, they also affect the health of our teeth. There are many foods out there that can be harmful to the teeth and can damage them and cause all kinds of oral health problems if we are not careful.
Just like with our bodies, the sugary sweets and foods that we find so tasty are the ones that most affect our teeth in a bad way, especially hard candies. Hard candies are very unhealthy for the teeth because they take such a long time to dissolve in the mouth, giving the sugar a long time to eat away at the teeth and damage them. Any food that contains a lot of sugar is bad on the teeth. Soft drinks like sodas as well are very bad for the teeth, for the very same reason.
The dentist in Richmond says that while these foods are our favorites to eat, we need to avoid them for a healthy body and teeth. If we do eat these kinds of foods, we need to always be ready to brush and floss afterwards, this is the key to removing all the sugar and cavity causing gunk on the teeth.

This well loved movie snack is always a great treat to munch on, but many people all over the world never realize that popcorn can actually have a very negative effect on both the teeth and the oral health of the mouth.

Many people each year go into the dentist’s office because of chipped or cracked teeth because of unseen popcorn kernels.
