Flossing
As we all strive to have a better oral health there are many things we should learn and do in order to achieve this goal of great oral health. A dentist in Des Moines says that aside from brushing, we should all focus on flossing as well to improve our oral health. Flossing is considered by many to be just as important as brushing is, and helps to keep the mouth and teeth both healthy and strong.
When one first start to floss it can hurt and the gums may even bleed a little bit. This is totally normal for the first week or two. The gums are week and need a little bit of time to toughen up. After a week or so the gums should stop bleeding. It’s important to hug the side of the tooth when flossing as well. Remember, we are flossing as a way to scrub the sides of the teeth where the toothbrush may have missed, not just sticking a string between the teeth.
The dentist in Des Moines says if you are looking for a good way to improve your oral health, flossing after brushing on a daily basis is a great way to get your teeth and mouth healthy and clean. Flossing is very important and should be done on a daily basis by everyone.
