Mouth Guard
A dentist in Bristol says that mouth guards are a very important part of our protective gear when playing sports. Many athletes around the world have lost their teeth playing sports when they could have saved them had they used a mouth guard. Mouth guards keep the head and teeth safe as well as the tongue. If you play any contact sport you should use a mouth guard.
Mouth guards are easy to use. They are formed to the shape of your mouth and teeth. To do this all it takes is boiling water. Put the mouth piece in the boiling water for about 30 seconds. Pull it out of the boiling water and place it into cold water for about one second. Then put it immediately in the mouth pressing against the lips and teeth. This will mold to the teeth and make a perfect fit for your mouth.
The dentist in Bristol says that there are many athletes who complain saying that mouth guards are very uncomfortable and makes playing not as fun. Well, it’s better to be uncomfortable for an hour than to have missing teeth for more than an hour. Be smart and use a mouth guard if you are playing competitively in any sport.
